Hogarth alumnus Henry had just finished first grade when he wrote this note. His little brother Harrison had just completed his first Hogarth year and was getting ready for his EK year. He got his big brother to write me a note and draw me a picture. I especially love the thought bubble hearts, which are totally true.

The Adults Talk: What Hogarth Parents Have To Say

The following quotes were taken from notes, letters and emails received from Hogarth parents and former students over the years.  The originals are available for viewing at Hogarth. If you’d like to talk with a few Hogarth parents about their experiences, contact Andrea and she’ll put you in touch.

I know we’ve said it many times before, but we’re so grateful to have our children with you at Hogarth. It’s made me so happy to see [our sons] flourish at Hogarth and fall in love with school. We couldn’t wish a better start for [them].  K. V.

Thank you for everything you have done for our son over the past two years. He has grown so much since his first days at Hogarth. We are so appreciative that he has learned so much at your wonderful school. Thank you for always being an exceptional teacher. We are so happy that our boys had you for a teacher these early years of school! Thank you so much.  J. and P. K.

You make such a huge difference in the lives of the children you teach, and all the love your pour into them really shows! Thank you for being so kind, patient and understanding. We will miss you over the summer, but are so happy to be returning in the fall! Hope you have a beautiful, relaxing summer! L. and D. B.

Thank you for another amazing year at Hogarth. Our son absolutely loves school and learning thanks to you. We appreciate all you do! C. and M. H.

I am beyond grateful for the education and experiences you provided my girls over the years. Thank you for all that you do. We appreciate you so much, and we loved our years at Hogarth. You are the sweetest teacher! J. and A. C.

Thank you for bringing beauty, life, love and music to Michaela’s life.  M. and S. B.

We feel so blessed that we have found Hogarth. How lucky are our children to get to spend their precious preschool days with you? (Our daughter) would go to school seven days a week if she could, and that is all because of the amazing school you have built. We appreciate you! C. and M. H.

Hogarth sticks with you. Here’s what an “old school” Hogarth mother from the 1980s had to say so many years later in 2019:

I was on a plane from Florida to Virginia recently and enjoyed a quiet flight. I struck up a conversation towards the end. The mother told me her daughter was from Epping and was surprised that I would even know where that was! I told her I spent many years raising children in Epping. We chit chatted about the opportunities in a small town. We, two strangers on a plane, found we shared something very special. All of my children and her grandchildren attended a great little school in Epping . . . Thanks HOGARTH for all you do!  K. G.

We are so grateful to have had you teach our son these past two years. The wonderful preschool experience you provide is priceless, and I’m convinced there is not another place around that is as incredible! You have made such a lasting impact on our son, we will be forever thankful.  M. and L. H.

How can we thank you enough for embracing our little family! Hogarth and the staff has been a true blessing! The compassion and enthusiasm you still have for all your students is remarkable and inspiring. Teaching is your true calling. Thank you for helping us with the next chapter in (our son’s) life!  A. and R. T.

We can’t thank you and Miss Vicki enough for all the hard work and effort you’ve put into this year. It is a wonderful treat to watch someone like you do what they do best. You were surely put on the Earth to teach our young children. Our daughter has had an amazing experience at Hogarth, and we are sad that this is her last year with you, but you and Miss Vicki will always be in our hearts! We wish you all the best and good luck for the future. See you around town!  S. and N. H.

As our sons graduate (from high school and college) we all thank you. Your wonderful school, teaching, guidance and dedication played an essential role in their lives and we are forever grateful! K. W.  (This is from an unexpected and much appreciated note written in Spring 2015, many years after these boys attended Hogarth.)

We would like to thank you for the awesome two years our daughter had at Hogarth. She is excited to go to school every day and that is due to the fun and engaging learning environment you provide. I hope she continues to have teachers like you, who are so in tune to the developmental needs of their students. Thank you for building such a strong foundation for her. She will (and so will we!) certainly miss you next year! R. and A. L.

What can I say about this year? Thank you heaps for your love, openness, caring and hard work on behalf of our son and our family. His outlook on life is happy and he is a child who feels he can handle what he needs to. Thank you for all you have done every day so that he may be a kid who feels like “one of the gang” not defined by his health needs. All our love!  C. L., M. Ed. and A. F. (Parents of this child who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on the second day of his PK2 year at Hogarth. He was not yet 3 years old at the time and ended up spending 3 years as my wonderful student. He taught me a lot about taking life’s lemons and making lemonade.)

Thank you, thank you — our son thinks the world of school. He adores you and Ms. Vicki, and he is constantly asking me more about concepts he has explored at school. He is very sad this is his last year — and so am I! How fantastic that he was able to have 3 years with you! The care you give is so good. I’m afraid I’ve been spoiled. Your care of my son in every way is fantastic. Thank you for giving him the gift of LOVING school. We adore you.  C. L., M. Ed. and A. F.

The community you have made is fantastic — one that shows love is the way — the way to fun, to learning and to strength. Thank you for being the best first teacher we could have hoped for. I wish it were for longer! You really have created a valley of love and delight!  C. L., M. Ed. and A. F.

Thank you for working so hard to make our son’s time at Hogarth so enjoyable. He loves it, and we’re so happy he does.  K.V. and E.P.

Thank you for everything. You’ve been amazing and I truly appreciate the dedication you have to education and to your students.  J. C.

Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful place for our children to learn and play.  T. and G. C.

What a year! We cannot thank you enough for jumping through hoops, dodging COVID balls and moving boulders to ensure the kids were in-person and healthy. We know you went for above the standards and we thank you for that. (Our daughter) has had an incredible two years at Hogarth and has a true love for learning thanks to you. She leaves Hogarth with a full heart and a head full of songs and memories.  C. and M. H.

What can I even say other than thank you? Thank you for the incredible preschool you have created. Thank you for your (COVID) precautions to keep our babies safe. Thank you for the magic that your school holds that allows (my daughter) to be excited to go to school, and leave me happily! Thank you for nurturing and loving these kiddos and for going above and beyond in everything you do! As a mom, leaving my kids is the hardest thing — and I leave and don’t have any doubts when she is with you! She adores you and Vicki and is so proud to be a big girl with her own school! A. and N. S.

Thank you so much for all you have done this school year. I couldn’t have asked for a better person, or teacher to make the preschool transition so easy. Our daughter had such a great time at Hogarth, and we are so thankful. Thank you! H. and B.M.

There are no words to express the impact you have had on our family. We are so grateful. Though we are sad to say goodbye to Hogarth and our time with you, we know that your guidance has forever changed our boys. With love, J. and M.T.

I can’t believe our days at Hogarth are coming to an end. We can’t thank you enough for the amazing first school experience you’ve given to both our children. We are forever grateful for the few short years they’ve had with you. This year (2020) has ended in a highly unusual way! You’ve been amazing, adapting to an online classroom. The continuity has been so helpful during this scary (COVID) time. Our daughter misses her teachers and her friends so much, but she loves seeing everyone on Zoom. We hope to keep in touch! Stay healthy, and thank you for everything!!!!!  K. and J.W.

Our family is so happy (our son) had the opportunity to attend Hogarth this past year. There wasn’t a day that he didn’t have a smile on his face, and a fun story to tell at pick-up time. His happiness and growth as a student makes me one proud mama! We are so grateful for you. K. and J. T.

Thank you so much for making (our son’s) first year of school fun and engaging! We can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done to make this school year happen (during COVID), all while keeping everyone happy, safe, and healthy.  R. and E. C.

Thank you for making preschool the best experience for our kids. You helped mold and guide these girls better than I could ever. Words can’t express how much I appreciate you!  N.M.

Thank you for another wonderful year at Hogarth. Our daughter has such a wonderful year and Hogarth will always be a special place to us. Thank you for being such an amazing teacher and always providing so much knowledge and love to your students! We will miss you and Hogarth! Have a great summer! Happy trails to you!  K.D.

Thank you so much for taking such great care of our daughter for the last two years. We couldn’t be happier with her experience at Hogarth and with her passion for school. You are so great at what you do, and we look forward to continuing the journey with our son. Thank you. A. and D. L.

It has been said that every great organization has a clearly defined and vibrant culture and the Hogarth Country Day School has such spirit!  Your academic program is clearly defined, comfortably sequenced and substantive, however, I am pleased to say that is not the focus of your preschool experience.  Hogarth consistently integrates a wide variety of creative experiences that enrich the lives of children.  Whether through dance, foreign language, drama, art, athletic development or conversation, these activities lead to the development of whole children.  Children who are interesting, confident, and most of all, ‘ready and eager to learn’.  From my experience, I know that this type of environment is not the result of chance or coincidence.  Rather it results from the hard work, cooperation, talents and knowledge of people who care.  You are such people, and for this we thank you.        M. J., M. Ed., Ph.D.

We truly are in shock that our days at Hogarth are ending! You have been so amazing for our children. All four of us have enjoyed your teaching and conversation these last four years. Hogarth is an unbelievable place. Don’t ever change! We love every song that our children have learned in your classroom. We sing a lot in our family. My mom, as a kindergarten teacher, many years ago was told by her principal that she “burst into song too much.” There could never be such a thing. We will miss your blogs and pictures. You do an outstanding job. Thank you so much!  S. and P. S.

Thank you so much for inspiring our kids every day! You are one of the most thoughtful humans we know and feel so lucky to have the opportunity to send our kids to your wonderful school. There is no better place for them to begin their learning journey! They loved every day with you guys. T. and C. G.

There really aren’t words to express how much we are going to miss you and appreciate you. Loving our child and teaching him like one of your own and watching him grow over the past 3 years has been amazing! J. and C. C.

Thank you for another amazing year at Hogarth! Our daughter had so much fun making friends and learning new things. It’s so enjoyable to hear all the songs she has learned. We hope you have a nice, relaxing summer, and we can’t wait to see you again in September!!!!  J and K. W.

Thank you for a wonderful PK2 year! Our son will miss Hogarth and seeing his friends every week. Thank you for all of your caring, support, and fun! See you in the fall!  I. and E.L.

Thank you for everything! We are so grateful that our three children got to attend Hogarth. They are off to a great academic start because of you!  J and M. M.

Thank you for a wonderful preschool experience! Our son loves school and we are so grateful to you for creating an environment to foster this love. Hogarth is a special place and our youngest can’t wait for his turn!  C. and V.F.

Thank you for all you do! Our son enjoys coming to school, and loves having new friends. Sometimes I also catch him singing the songs you have been teaching them — it’s so wonderful to hear his little voice singing.  E. and I. L.

Dear Andrea, We are so grateful to you and your amazing assistant for all that you have done for our children throughout these years. It will be so sad to say good-bye, but truly please keep in touch.  K. K.

We miss you! Our daughter talks of you two often and asks frequently to visit. We still cannot thank you enough for preparing her for kindergarten. She is loving school and is starting to write and sound out words. So fun! We look forward to little sister attending next year! And then baby #3 a few years later!  C. and M. H.

Thank you! We are so happy with our experience at Hogarth. Our daughter loves school and this is thanks to you and Miss Vicki. We appreciate all your hard work and all the details you put into every day to make it amazing.  C. and M. H.

Thank you so much for a wonderful year of preschool. Our daughter enjoyed it so much and we loved how engaged and interested she was in learning new things.  E.C.

Thank you so much for being such a wonderful teacher for our daughter’s first year at school. She has enjoyed every day at Hogarth and will miss you dearly. I could not have asked for a better experience for us.  J.K.

I don’t even have the words to truly express how thankful we are for everything you have given our children through the years. You gave them such an amazing educational foundation that has carried on with them throughout the years. They love learning and have so much academic confidence due to all of the time, energy and guidance you gave them in their early years. You will always be in our hearts and the amazing Hogarth memories we will always carry with us. You have been such a blessing to our family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We love you so much!  P. L., M. Ed.

How can we thank you for the kindness and care that you show to our son on a daily basis? He adored this school year and I am so grateful that he found a home at Hogarth. You are truly amazing.  K. K. and G. M

Thank you for your time and dedication in the classroom. We appreciate your energy, professionalism and kindness with all kids. Our daughter is having a wonderful preschool year because of your program; we are so happy that she’s a Hogarth kid!             J. and S. M.

Thank you both for giving yet another of my offspring a wonderful start to learning. He is the fifth and the other four are doing quite well. Have some fun and get some rest this summer!  J.L.

Thanks for a wonderful year! We are so happy to have chosen Hogarth as an introduction to education. Both of my children have thrived in your classroom and we are very grateful.  A. and D. L.

I can’t believe the time has come that both my girls are graduated from Hogarth! I can’t begin to thank you enough for the positive impact you made on their lives. What you do is priceless for all the children you touch. Thank you for being the best! We will miss you! L.G.

Thank you for making our daughter’s introduction to learning so wonderful. We have been so impressed (and grateful) for the expansive wealth of knowledge you have shared with our kids. It has really made our daughter’s experience at Hogarth so unique. You are a one-of-a-kind teacher and person and we feel it a privilege to have had her in your class! Thank you for sharing a piece of yourself with our family. C. and T. G.

Over the past two years we have loved seeing our son grow and develop an excitement for learning. He truly enjoys coming to school. He feels supported, listened to, and respected. Thank you so much for all the hard work you do each year!  E. and I. L.

Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful experience for our family! Hogarth is a wonderful resource for our community and we are so happy our children have gotten the benefit of your knowledge, care and love. Thank you for sharing your passion for learning.  A. and D. L.

Thank you so much for all of your hard work as our daughter’s teacher. Your patience, enthusiasm and skill with young kids are true testaments to your dedication to teaching.  S. and J. M.

Thank you for planting the seeds for our son’s future education. We couldn’t be prouder of all his progress.  J. and D. O.

I can’t thank you enough for providing a loving, caring and fun environment for my daughters over the past three years. I am amazed at how much they have learned and have grown since starting at Hogarth. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice to send them to your school. You have taught the girls and myself how much fun learning can be and have helped us shape our daughters into the bright, fun-loving young girls they are becoming. We are going to miss you and Vicki and the joy you both have for teaching. We are saddened that this is our last week at Hogarth but are beyond excited that we will forever have the memories and love for you in our hearts. Thank you again for everything you have done for our family.  T. W. and S. W.

Thank you for another amazing year. I love when our daughter comes home so happy after Hogarth. I am thrilled she will continue her Hogarth adventure next year. Thank you for helping her grow. L. G.

I don’t know where to begin. I cannot thank you enough for all you have done for my girls. Our youngest has grown so much, and truly loves school because of you. You and your school are so special to us. Hogarth is the best decision we have ever made for our girls. We will be forever grateful for the foundation you have given our children. We will miss you very much. J. O.

I hope that this e-mail finds you well. I don’t know if you remember the Dawley family.  Karen and I had three kids in Epping a while back: Matt, Katie & Shawn.

  • You called Matt “a peace maker” when you had him in school.  He’s now 21 and finished his junior year in college.  Matt  was Captain of his High School football team, Senior Class President and is an Eagle Scout and a National Merit Scholar (full academic scholarship!).  He’s in an honors biochemistry/pre-med course of study at the University of Oklahoma.
  • I believe that you had Shawn for one year of preschool.  The “little guy” has now finished his freshman year at Dover High School and is the biggest person in the family.  He just became an Eagle Scout in May, is a two-way tackle on his football team and is an all around loveable teddy-bear of a kid.
  • When you told Katie that she could be anything that she wanted to be, even the first woman President, she listened.  Fosters Daily Democrat asked Katie which of her teachers influenced her the most and she named you, 12 years after she left Hogarth’s!!!   See attached article.   Katie is now a 2nd-degree black-belt in karate, was Commander of Dover’s ROTC Unit, Captain of her Lacrosse team and was elected Governor at NH Girl’s State this year.  She will be inducted into the US Naval Academy at Annapolis on July 1st.  Her long-term aspirations are to become a Navy pilot, then an astronaut…

Karen and I are very proud of our kids and I wanted to share their successes with you.  Thank you for all that you did for them.  The good work that you do with our youngest citizens influences their entire lives!  D. D.

Thank you for everything. We are so blessed to have you in our lives for so long. You have taught our children that they can have fun and still learn. We cannot thank you enough. We hope every note you play you will think of us and all the music, teachings, and fun you gave us while in your class. We will surely be back to visit. We love you! Signed by the children in this wonderful family.

Thank you for all that you do! Our son loves Hogarth and you! He loves listening to you read stories and how you play music for the class. We are very happy that we picked Hogarth. Our son has grown so much and he is so ready for kindergarten because of you and Miss Vicki! Thank you for being you! You are a super hero! Thank you for being an amazing teacher to our son. We will miss you and our son will be thinking about you often. He will miss your love and compassion that you give every day. K. and B. D.

Thank you so much the wonderful year you have given our son. He was so excited each and every day I picked him up from school. You have an incredible gift for teaching, and we are so thankful that we found you! K. and J. W.

Thank you for the solid foundation you have instilled in our child. I have no doubt having you as his first teacher has set him up for great success in his future education. I can’t thank you enough for everything you have done for both of our children. Thank you for your constant support and understanding. Your love and nurturing spirit hasn’t gone unnoticed. You will always have a special place in our lives. With gratitude, A. and M. C.

Thank you for all your help and kindness! Our son always talked about you as one of his friends. Thank you for making this year so special. E. and I. L.

Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my two girls. It warms my heart to know how much they love you and Miss Vicki. Our experience at Hogarth has been amazing. It is so exciting to see what they have learned at school and they way their faces light up when we ask, How was your day?  T. W. and  S. W.

Thank you for building the BEST educational foundation for our children. We thank God everyday for bringing you into our lives! P. L., M. Ed. and  M. L.

Our son had such a wonderful first school experience at Hogarth. He will be lucky to have more teachers as caring and supportive as you. Thank you so much for everything. M. M. and J. M.

I would like to say thank you for this past year. My son has grown exponentially while attending Hogarth. It is hard to recognize him as the little boy crying and clinging to my leg to the smiling happy boy running into school he is now. He has learned so much from you, and talks about school and you all the time. We are very appreciative for all that you’ve taught him. We look forward to Early Kindergarten next year. With thanks. S. F.

To this amazing, special, loving and enthusiastic person in my early life, who has done so much. I will carry what I have learned from Hogarth to kindergarten and beyond. Miss Murphy . . . my inspiration. Signed by my wonderful student.

We want to thank you for creating such a loving, nurturing environment for our granddaughter (and all the other children) to learn and grow. We see the fruits of your labor each day when she comes to our house after school. We chuckle when, at times, she corrects us and says, “Miss Murphy” or “Miss Vicki    says . . .” It really does take a village to raise a child!  J. and J. K., Hogarth Grandparents (2014) AND Hogarth Parents (1984)

What does one say to a person who means so very much? You make my daughter’s heart sing. She adores school, she loves learning, she loves singing and she loves playing. Her writing and drawing that does not come easily to her, is also something she loves. (That is talent!! Teaching a child to love something that is difficult for them!) I am so glad she has you for her first teacher – for her first school experience – I only wish we could have you always. Thank you for letting my daughter learn and love with you, thank you for loving her so much that she knows she is a lovable kid and that people she adores think she is important. You and Miss Vicki make a wonderful, loving space for all your students to grow in the sunshine. I can’t thank you enough.  C. L., M. Ed.

Thank you for making Hogarth such a special, wonderful, unforgettable first school! P. W.

We hope this card finds you well. Zachary is off to high school next year. Mackenzie is enjoying 3rd grade. Both are so much better off because they had you in their lives and as a great teacher.  C. A. and J. A.

Thank you for making our daughter’s introduction to education so fun. You are amazing at what you do and I’m certain our child is off to a great start. Thank you for having her in your class. We couldn’t be happier. Looking forward to two more great years! A. C.

Thank you so much for being an amazing teacher. You have made us feel so comfortable at Hogarth. The girls absolutely adore you. It warms my heart to know that they are so happy learning, playing, laughing, and having fun while they are at school. Thank you for all that you do and the wonderful environment you create for our children.  T. W. and S. W.

I could not be more pleased with our experience at Hogarth! Thank you so much for helping us to raise a happy little girl. You are an amazing educator and we can’t wait to see you again in the fall.  A. L.

Thank you so much for giving our daughter a wonderful first year of school. I couldn’t imagine her having a more dedicated, caring and loving teacher than you! I truly feel that Hogarth was the best choice for her and for me! You made the transition from being home with me to going to preschool so smooth and easy for her. She has loved being in your class and has always talked about school so much. She’s been so excited to go. You truly are one of those rare teachers that children will remember all through their school years!  T. R.

Thank you for a wonderful school year! You made our son’s first ever school experience such a great one! I’m so pleased with you and your program at Hogarth, and all of our son’s progress over the past school year! I’m so happy he’ll be returning in the fall!  J. P.

I’m sure you will remember me as I was one of your most enthusiastic students at Hogarth! How are you? It’s been so long, tell me what’s been going on!

The other day I suddenly realized how much your musical influence has affected my life. Since I was 12 (I’m 16 now) I have been immersed in music, first teaching myself to play keyboard, then drums, then starting to play guitar at 13. I found myself another amazing teacher who has been teaching me since then and I am now what I should think is fair enough to say a really good electric guitarist.

I’ve been in Sotogrande International School here in Spain for the last two years, and there I have been best in music class and gotten top grades most of the time. I recently took a music theory exam at Grade 3 level and I am not sure yet, but I think I passed it well. I have been also teaching myself to sing for the last year and have been told I have a great ear for getting things on key. I have played in several school concerts, some with up to 1000 people, all amazing experiences.

This coming week I will be playing 3 songs, including one by Gary Moore and another by Van Halen, in a recital. Then the day after that, there will be a charity concert where I will sing and play the guitar in a band. I have learnt to use basic recording software and created an amateur album of my own work for a school project which got top marks. My dream is to become a solo artist.

If I had not learned to have such a love and passion for music from such a young age, I could never have had such success and direction in my life. Thank you so much.

I remember how you used to have students my age writing you or visiting you to thank you for their time with you! Well now I’m one of them! 🙂  Ashley, Hogarth Alumnus, Class of 1999.

Ashley said she had emailed you, so I thought I would as well to thank you again for all you’ve done.

So much is going on in Ashley’s life in terms of music right now — it’s really exciting. Virtually ever since she left Hogarth and we moved to Spain she’s been interested in music, and as you know in the last 2 1/2 years she’s had a tutor/mentor who’s helped her get to the level she’s at now.

John and I are absolutely certain she couldn’t have gotten there if it hadn’t been for her inspiring years at Hogarth.  Besides the musical aspect, the skills she learned while she was there… perseverance, independent thought, taking on challenges, responsibility and helping others, have all helped her achieve so much for her 16 years. C. H., Ashley’s Mother

There are not enough words to express how grateful we are, for you, and everything you have done for our daughter. You have made a great impact on her, and given her tools for life, and you will be truly missed! What a difference in the child I dropped off 2 years ago, to the child we see today. You have helped her grow in so many ways, we are eternally grateful. We appreciate you and your genuine care for these kids. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!  C. F. and S. F.

You are one of a kind! We will miss you! I am grateful that our son began his school journey at Hogarth. He absolutely loved it and is excited about kindergarten. What a wonderful program. I’ll keep spreading the word about how great you are! Thank you!       A. L.

I am so sorry that my Hogarth years are over. I would keep my kids there forever if I could. You have brought joy, love, kindness, learning to all of them and they all remember their years at Hogarth with fondness. Thank you for having such an important and nurturing role in my children’s lives. No thanks is enough!!! K. H.

Your love and care of our daughter has given her the gift of loving school! She feels safe enough to take risks (central to learning!) and loves asking questions! You have created a space where a loving community has been able to grow. Thank you for your devotion to showing our kids how much fun discovery is!  C. L., M. Ed.

I am sure you must get plenty of thank-yous from Moms and Dad because you are just so wonderful with our little ones. We feel so grateful that we found you. I am sure there is no school better for our little girl. Actually, if you could be her teacher for the next 12 years . . . that would be perfect. You clearly have a true love for your job. Our daughter just raves about you. Thank you for being that great teacher that you are. It is such a comforting feeling knowing she is learning from the very best!! L. H.

Thank you for being the kind of teacher our daughter will always remember! Your warm and energetic personality was exactly what she needed. We are so grateful her first true school experience happened with you! J.H.

A thousand thank-yous! You have transformed our son into a well-oiled learning machine. We will miss him going to your school. E. T.

We are sooo happy that we chose Hogarth two years ago. We are going to miss your smiling face and enthusiasm, and all you do to start our child out on the right foot in his educational journey! Our son said it best tonight after the Spring Sing: “I am gonna tie myself to Miss Murphy and bring her to every school I go to.”  C. T.

Special thanks for the terrific job you do every day! As an ex-early childhood teacher, I can appreciate all your work and know what a difference you have made in my granddaughter’s life. Keep up the great effort! J. T.

Thank you for a wonderful year for our daughter. She absolutely enjoyed every minute of her days with you — learning, laughing, singing, playing and being a part of the preschool clan. Thank you for being her “Mom” away from home. She loves you very much. Words cannot express how honored and blessed I feel to have had all of my kids have the pleasure of having their first year of school be with you at Hogarth. It has been such a wonderful and positive experience for all of us. You know that being a “stay at home” mom, it was not easy for me to let them go but you made me feel at ease those first days. You have truly been a gift to our family. My boys still talk about you as being their favorite teacher. I am one lucky Mom to have found you and your special place right here in my home town. A. L.

Our daughter has been so blessed to have had such a warm, caring and nurturing teacher for the past two years. You have taught her so much and have showed how much you have cared every step of the way. Thank you so much for giving our daughter the best possible start before entering “big school.” We’ll miss seeing you next year but promise to keep in touch. K .R.

Andrea, thank you so much for all you’ve done for our son. He is so sad at the idea of leaving Hogarth, but thanks to you, Lydia and Kateri, I think he’s really going to do great in kindergarten this fall. S. H.

Thank you again for another wonderful year! My son loves school, his teachers, his friends, the toys, the books . . . he loves everything about Hogarth!  C. F.

Wow . . . I don’t even know where to begin! Thank you so much for all that you give to our children. You are an amazing teacher with an amazing talent who gives so much of herself to our children. We feel so blessed to have you in our children’s lives! Your patience and understanding of each child’s needs and differences is just one of your outstanding qualities. The love you have for your students is so obvious and the love they have in return will last a lifetime. You are forever in our hearts. Thank you so much. P. L., M. Ed.

Thank you so much for all that you have done for our family! You have been an amazing teacher and role model and we can’t thank you enough. We have learned so much over the past two years, as has our little girl, and we have you to thank for so much of it! We will miss you in the years to come but will always look back and smile on the memories you have given us! V. T.

Thank you so much for all you have done this year! Our little girls love school so much. I am so pleased both of my girls will be with you next year! J. O.

There are not enough words to express the joy you have brought not only to our son’s life, but to our home! You have the gift of giving peace and joy to all and we are so very happy to have found you! T. W.

Andrea, you are absolutely wonderful. If I could have you homeschool my girls I’d do it in a minute. L. R.

Andrea, you have made such a positive impact on our son. He LOVES school so much and we owe you for that! He is very sad to be leaving you (even shared some tears tonight), but knows he will be seeing you when his sister starts school. This has been such an amazing first school experience. You have an amazing way with children. You are a TRUE GIFT! There will always be a special place in our hearts for “Miss Murphy!” S. M.

We could not have asked for a better first year of school! You eased my mind right away and made the introduction to school the best experience for my daughter! We will miss you, but feel confident in the knowledge you taught our little girl to head off to kindergarten in the fall! A. B.

Words simply can’t express our appreciation. Hogarth was such a positive experience for our daughter, and has prepared her well for the years to come. Thank you! C. P.

I want to thank  you for everything that you have done for my daughter. You are an amazing woman in so many ways. You have given my girl a gift — the love of school. A. T.

We just want to thank you for providing a safe, warm, nurturing, educational, and joyous place for our girls to learn and grow for the past five years.  Never once did I worry about them when I left them in your care.  Just knowing that if their feelings got hurt or if they ever felt upset about something, I knew you would be there for them.  You are a very special teacher and person, Andrea.  You have a wonderful school, a wonderful Mrs. Lamparelli, and a wonderful place for a child to leave Mom for the first time and venture out into the world!  We will miss you, Miss Murphy!    L. P.

We can’t thank you enough for providing (our son) with such a great first school experience. We only hope the teachers he encounters in the future are as dedicated and thoughtful as you. Thank you. J. and M. M.

Thank you for all your kindness and guidance these last 2 years! We knew immediately we had made the right choice. A. and R. T.

I just wanted to say thank you so much. Both of my boys respect and love you dearly. Thank you for the wonderful job you do everyday. D. S.

Before the year ended, I wanted to thank you for making the extra effort with the blog.  It’s really been a wonderful thing being able to see pictures from afar.  And I know that the school, you and your staff’s care, and the warm reception from the other children, has made Hogarth a special place for my child.  Best regards as you move forward with your great school.  D. C., Ph.D.

You know I adore you; your talent, your dedication, your enthusiasm! Many thanks for making my son’s preschool experience unforgettable and amazing.  A. S.

You have made our daughter’s first year of school an amazing and positive experience.  Thank you!  L. G.

For all the love, kindness and dedication, we are forever thankful! Your “moment in time” in our son’s life will never be forgotten.  A. P.

Thank you, Ms. Murphy for all your help caring with my son. Both my boys love you so much. D. S.

Thank you doesn’t seem like enough. You have been the best first teacher for both of my children! I couldn’t ask for any better! We will always say “Hi Miss Murphy!” whenever we drive past your house. Forever!  A. and J. T.

Thank you for all you have done for our son this year. He is so fortunate to have such a patient and supportive teacher. S. H.

Saying “thank you” just doesn’t seem enough when I think about how far our daughter has come since day one. We’re both going to miss you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!  E. R.

We don’t even know where or how to begin to thank you for everything you have done for our son this year! We have seen such a positive change in him since September! You have been the perfect introduction to school and he LOVES school and having you as a teacher!! You truly have a special gift and we thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts!  P. L., M.Ed.

My husband and I would like to thank you for all you’ve done for our son this past school year. His transition to Hogarth was so smooth and effortless, thanks to you. He loves going to school and learning from a teacher as wonderful as you. We are looking forward to spending another year at Hogarth!  A. T.

You already know just how much we love you. We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful first teacher for our children!  Looking forward to next year!  C. K.

We would like to take this time to say a special thank-you for all you have done in helping create what we think is the most amazing kid in the entire world.  The difference in our son is beyond words!  Each week brings something new. You have given our little boy belief in what he can do.  As parents, we will never forget!   A. P.

I want to thank you for the make-up classes. I did not expect this of you and think it is very kind of you and once again shows us that we chose the best facility and teacher for our son.  I can only speak to others of how happy we are with Hogarth, and it has been amazing watching the change in our son and seeing him excel as each week passes by.       S. M.

We can’t thank you enough for giving our daughter such a wonderful start in her learning journey. You have a special gift and we want to thank you for sharing it with our little girl. We’ll think of our Hogarth years fondly. J. M.

You have no idea how much we appreciate what you have done for our son this past year!  He has learned so much and has surprised us many times by reciting your cute songs and poems.  He is really sad that his year at Hogarth School is over now — and we are, too!  U. H.

We will always remember how Ashley Lauren blossomed through Hogarth’s nurturing environment and daily challenges.  We hope that the Hogarth Country Day School will continue to provide children in our area with its dedication and excellence for many years to come. C. H.

There hasn’t been a day that she hasn’t come home with some ‘project’ which she just had to explain to Gramma and Grampa;  a new song she had learned and wanted to teach us;  or more questions on an intriguing subject Miss Murphy had brought up in class. C. H.

Just though I’d write and say thanks for the good start. I’d certainly have to say that kindergarten was the best year of school I’ve had yet. I hope I get to take finger painting when I go to UNH next year.  A. H., Hogarth Alumnus, Class of 1981.  She went on to major in art at both UNH and the Rhode Island School of Design.

I was a member of the first class to graduate Hogarth in 1981. I went to 16 additional years of school after that, but the year at Hogarth was the best.  Andrea had so much energy and boundless enthusiasm that every day was a new adventure. Another letter from A. H.

Liz will move on to the larger world of regular school, but we will greatly miss the wholesome, happy atmosphere you created at Hogarth.  R. S.

Thank you so much for being a wonderful teacher for our son.  He has learned so much in the past two years.  You have gotten him off to a great start.  A. L.

It’s hard to put into words all the wonderful things I feel for you and the excellent job you have done in the past four years with my children.  I feel like Hogarth has been an extension of our family!  W. J.

Words can’t even describe how sincerely grateful we are for all the love, support and time you have devoted to our children over the past 5 years. We thank God every day for bringing you into our lives. You are an amazing and extremely talented teacher who has a special gift! We are so blessed that our children had such an exceptional beginning to their long school career. Thank you just isn’t enough!! M. and P.L., M.Ed.

Words cannot express what you have meant to our family! K. W.

You are just my favorite teacher, Andrea.  I’m always telling people what a wonderful school you have and how you not only teach, but love your little children.  M. F., Hogarth Grandparent
